I may just cancel my accont beacus soon you can my Shadowmourn i bet! Comment by forever86d Ok I take the zep to stv, I jump out it doesnt even open its wings as it falls BUT when it lands in the water it looks like its flying Comment by I bought TRH, and I just looove the people QQing about it, because their tears are the sweetest thing in the world for me.
I work for my money, and therefore I can do with it what I want, I spend it every month so I can run around with my pixel-mage in a pixel-Azeroth, and now I spend some more money to have him ride on a pixel-horse from space. Some people are only jealous because they don't have enough money to spend it on useless things, while others try to be rational in a stupid way. Because that would be like You pay money for pixels, but you won't pay money for pixels.
It was the same when people insulted me for "waisting my time" when I got my violet Proto on the first day possible. I did it beacause I can. So either I am wasting my money, or I am wasting my time, for which I have to pay money.
In the end the servers will shut down and nobody will have anything anymore. And I don't think there are many people left who play WoW out of fun Comment by FauxShizzle I think people are mostly upset because it's a good looking mount that they expected to be rare, and they wanted the opportunity to be one of the few that would obtain it. Comment by Felreaverlovesme I, personally, enjoy the concept of this mount. It allows all forms of travel, if that character possesses the means for said travel.
You don't really have to buy the other mounts, unless you want the achievement, variety, and so on. Makes it great for saving up the money to focus just on the riding skills, or your professions.
Overall, my only complaint about this mount is that the color and style of the mount tends to 'dull' after a while. By dull, I mean that it just doesn't look cool after so many re-mounts and with nearly the whole server having them. But, that's why they have other mounts, right? Players who purchase it receive a code similar to that of the loot cards. When you enter the code in your account all characters are mailed a copy of this pet, as well as any future characters you create.
Though the mount is adjusted to your riding skill and location, it only does so when you mount up. For instance, if you mount up in Dalaran, you will have a non-flying mount. If you then ride into Krasus' Landing it will not automatically turn into a flying mount. To fly, you will need to dismount and mount up again, just like Magic Brooms in Hallow's End. As of the date of release, those using old graphics cards or using fixedFunction will see odd graphics on the model for this mount.
Comment by Zalina If you get the "red" debuff in Borean Tundra after killing an animal the mount turns a very pretty color of red. The armor and the "stars" turn red. Comment by Has anyone else had the issue of this not scaling correctly to your riding skill? It's not a huge issue, just a matter of inconvenience, really, and I'm just wondering if anyone else is having, or has had this issue. Comment by But we should all be happy that It's your choice if you want it or not.
Comment by Tontel "because their tears are the sweetest thing in the world for me. Comment by when i first saw this i thought it would be a mount that drops off algalon right but surely thats not the case if you buy the lil XT robot you get this mount now it would be cool if it dropped off algalon and you could buy it. Comment by Vezon64 I'll be honest I was half-expecting this magnificient steed to drop off of someone like Algalon But no Comment by Cant believe someone hasn't said this But its the same model, just reskined as the mount that drops off Lich king 25 heroic.
Invincible's Reins. Comment by Karma needs a kick in the rear I was absolutly going to get the mount, now that I have read a little about the CEO I'm not, as few dimes into his hand as is possible. Comment by Tomah wadark, it's not g.
Here's the numbers. Mount cost, assuming one of each rank: g per character, with no rep discounts. Mount training: g 20s per character, with full rep discounts. Now let's get into the subject of 'free mounts'. Getting a free epic flying mount is ridiculously easy, hit 80 and pug H. Culling, you're nearly guaranteed to see a Bronze Drake these days. Don't want to hit 80 without an epic flying mount? Ok, pick up a regular flyer, go do your Netherwing dailies, you get a free drake.
That's g off the money you'd save, so assuming each character spends 61 gold on mounts is entirely reasonable. That means you're spending g on mounts if you use all 50 character slots. What about the loaner flying mount? Well, if you're willing to stomach it, you can level through Northrend to 77 without flying, pick up a loaner in Storm Peaks for free, and spend only 11 gold on mounts, or for every character. What about free epic ground mounts? In contrast, no matter what crazy tricks you play with free mounts and such, you will always pay g, 20s per character for training.
Assuming full rep discounts , which you probably won't have at the time you're buying regular ground and epic ground mounts, and very well may not have when you pick up your flying. As of 4. Training, on the other hand, goes up to g per character with full rep discounts. It definitely adds up, but the exchange rate is pretty lousy. Buy the mount if you like it, not because it's going to save you gold, because in the long run? Comment by Snikmord There is something very wrong about this mount Comment by Razia This perfectly sums up all previous comments.
Comment by Thunderdrast I want to buy this mount but i dont got the money :. Comment by Glittergroin I've heard some people say they didn't like the mount when it ran on the ground because the legs look too "spindly. Maybe now that this mount has been designed, Paladins and Warlocks will get winged versions of their class mounts.
Comment by Luciel Since when did pets and mounts become game breaking items? If people want to spend money on this stuff let them what right do you have to say how people spend their own money?
Fair enough if it was some kind of game breaking item eg legendary item or whatever but its not it's a mount How long till they start selling epics? Comment by Corrupted It sparkles like Twilight! Comment by Interesting find I found out yesterday. It looks like you're riding a magical floating mechanical bull Comment by I now own this mount and I just want to say "It is Beautiful! But for those who can afford it and want to own this horse it is very much worth the price.
Here are three reasons why it's worth it. Every toon you have now and every toon you will ever create on any realm will be proud owners of this mount.
You can use it from level and it even scales to epic flying speed. It's simply beautiful and unique. Here are some of the beautiful effects that this mount has.
It has animated stars surrounding it. The armor is swirling with Twisting Nether effects. It has a unique sound both on the ground and in the air. It seems to have a slow fall effect which is for looks only and does not absorb any damage.
People who can't buy it or just refuse to buy it have no right to judge or make rude gestures toward those of us who do. My personal opinion to all is, if you want it, go for it, you wont regret it at all. If you dont want it, please refrain from being rude and enjoy riding whatever mounts you do have.

I also bought the horde wind rider cub that gives you the companion. I love it. The toy I gave it to my little daughter. I dont care if I spend some extra money for in-game products. Some people spend it on crack. Comment by Uhhh.. Im not so sure If I should say: 1. Hunter weapon or 2. Agalon's mount! Its full of stars! Comment by redbullah it is funny that people ordered this mount at the moment it released, paid real money to become different from other people, missing that it's not going to be different when lots of people buy it.
Comment by I am a new proud owner of this mount! Comment by overkillah You just gotta love the way it happy-jumps x. Comment by Scotia I think something on my mage is bugged, as an aside. Has anyone else seen this? Comment by Hornhide They let semi-illiterate, pompous dictators like you appear to be, have guilds? Just like they let people spend their money on whatever they like. Comment by darkelfpoet Saves you g80s - g per toon you level depending on your reputation level.
For those who like to level multiple toons, this is worth getting. For a first time player, it might even be worth it as that's a decent amount of gold at Yes, that would be a single in-game WoW account e.
Net acconts can contain multiple World of Warcraft licenses, and yes you'd need to buy the spacepony separately for each of them.

It's like a little bit of an extension of the game. You buy an expansion, you get more content in the game. Same goes for this, only on a much smaller scale. For example, the Celestial Steed will run at normal ground speed if the character knows Apprentice Riding, and epic ground speed with Journeyman Riding.
The mount will be able to fly at normal flight speed with Expert Riding, and at epic flight speed with Artisan Riding. The look of the star pony will change drastically depending on your particle density settings and other visual options, more so than other mounts, for obvious reasons. A small point, but one most people wouldn't consider, and I know it would irk me.
If you want this mount to stand out in a crowd or to show off with lets be honest here , think twice, because as of the first day it already looks like one in ten mounts in Dalaran are these star ponies. Sure, they stand out, but they aren't exactly special.

You can create a test-character to delete it in about 30 days, when you opened your mailbox again. However, I think nobody would refrain from opening the mailbox on every character, since it's just one chance and a pretty neat mount.

When you enter the code in your account all characters are mailed a copy of this pet, as well as any future characters you create. It filled me personally with a deep instinctual feeling of unease. Rather than instantly respond, I decided to take a little while to consider - I read long forum threads on the topic, slept on the idea and tried to consider it from as many angles as I could.
Firstly, I asked myself, where did my instinctual rejection come from? Why did I emotionally feel that selling mounts for money was wrong? To do that, I have to go back to the pencil and paper role-playing games that I played as a child. When young children first start to play such games, they experience an entirely natural desire to be powerful - to have a character with the best items, and who can defeat any enemy and overcome any obstacle.
However, after a while, such games become boring - if you can kill deities with a flick of your wrist, then what is there left to challenge you? There is no fun any more. This teaches players two important lessons - firstly that sometimes it's better to earn small rewards by overcoming tremendous obstacles, rather than have tremendously powerful items given to you on a plate, and secondly, that items created in a virtual world are a means to an end having fun , rather than an end in themselves.
So in this case, it feels like a powerful item, that hasn't been earned within the game. It would feel like bribing the DM to give me an extra item in a tabletop game. So what is the significance of being able to create items out of nothing in a virtual world.
To see that, one needs to look at the nature of money itself. After all, in our modern society, it has in many ways become a virtual commodity itself. Throughout history, men have sought to create money from nothing. Sometimes this has resulted in incredible human ingenuity. At other times, currencies have been ruined by governments printing money to pay for foreign wars, or by counterfeiters flooding the market with realistic looking fake money.
Over the years, rules evolved in society in order to limit such dangers. For example, control of the money supply was moved to semi-independent bodies, such as the Bank of England or Federal Reserve, in order to limit the ability of short sighted politicians to ruin their countries currency in order to be re-elected.
In the financial sector, banks discovered another way to create money from nothing - by lending out the same deposit more than once, and in order to stop this new form of currency creation from spiralling out of control, a great many laws and rules were created to regulate the banks. We have seen, with the recent financial crisis, the dangers in relaxing such rules. But now games companies, such as Blizzard, have the ability to create value from thin air. Dismissing these items as nothing but fluff, and having no real impact is akin to saying that the diamonds over which so many wars are fought in Africa are valueless, since they are nothing more than hard shiny rocks, which do nothing to help us obtain the food and shelter we need to survive.
Humans have a natural sense of what is beautiful - and they will go to great lengths and pay vast sums to obtain attractive objects for comparison, consider how much paintings from famous artists sell for in the art world.
